Activity took a big pause in mid-March, but surged in late April through now. We’ve seen the same ole same ole of multiple offers, waived contingencies, and bidding wars for the last few weeks – it’s like the pandemic isn’t even happening in Arlington real estate in some cases.

Now, on the other hand, we have also seen a lot of volatility, as buyers are backing out more than usual; the good news is there is usually another buyer waiting in the wings.

Here’s the recap of April 2020 compared to a year ago for all Arlington County zip codes, including neighboring McLean and Falls Church City.
